Founded in 2009 with the aim to protect the mountain environment, the association Tra le Rocce e il Cielo organised the eponymous festival in Vallarsa for seven editions. The festival covered topics like local history, sustainable economy, Alpine languages, natural landscapes, art, mountain economy, ecology, and climate change.
Over time, the association has expanded its scope, paying increasing attention to environmental issues and climate change.
Starting in October 2024, the association has launched the international festival Song of the Earth, an event dedicated to celebrating the Earth and finding concrete and sustainable solutions to address the climate crisis.
We envision a sustainable future where global communities thrive in harmony with nature, and climate change is effectively addressed through collective action and innovation. Our role in this wider vision will be to inspire and empower individuals, communities, and institutions to build a future where the environment is protected, its resources are managed responsibly, and the beauty and health of nature is preserved for generations to come.
Raising public awareness about the importance of sustainability and the protection of natural resources. Promoting scientific information regarding the ongoing climate crisis. Promoting the use of renewable energy and the development of sustainable practices. Involving local communities and institutions in the creation of projects and initiatives aimed at understanding and mitigating the effects of climate change.
We organize events and programs at the local level to empower individuals and communities to take action. These initiatives can range from workshops and educational campaigns, to exhibitions and shows, to festivals, to hands-on projects that address specific environmental challenges. The first of these events will be the Song of the Earth (Il Canto della Terra) festival.This event will bring together people from diverse backgrounds and different areas of the planet to celebrate the Earth, learn about environmental challenges, and explore sustainable solutions.
Collaborating with individuals and organisations from different cultures and backgrounds provides us with valuable insights and perspectives. By understanding the unique challenges and opportunities faced by communities around the world, we can develop more inclusive and effective solutions. We seek to build networks with international partners to share knowledge, resources, and best practices, thus increasing our capacity to implement projects and initiatives.
